FCM Past President, Tom Cusack and/or FCM Prayer Service Coordinator, Anthony Capone, host the meetings.
This past Thursday, August 5, 2021, FCM Member Peter Cramer offered his thoughts, prayers, and the following poem.
The Destitute by Peter Cramer
Where are the poor and the fatherless gone?
Why are they now brought out of sight?
Who will reach out to me in my anguish?
Who will quench my thirst?
Who will hold me in times of terror?
Who will rescue me from this pain?
I waited and none came….I wished for a voice who would call unto me with care and tender mercies.
Who has seen my affliction…..is there any who loves me?
No one cares that I exist….No, I won’t care that they exist either.
The circle of pain must be broken.
I Must Repent
I must repent….
I have not shared my love and life……
I have not shared my memories with the destitute……
I have not stretched out my hand and touched….
I have not listened to their cries and sobs.
I have not wiped away the tears of many….
I was afraid to put my hand on their back and draw in near.
I have not stretched forth my arms to give as you gave all your life.
Even in death you held the position of giving of your self.
So... they nailed you in the position of tender loving care.
